“Loved the house, very homely with everything we needed and more. Jenny has been so helpful beforehand and throughout our visit. Happily spent hours at Landmark and wildlife park and a trip to Cawdor Castle was well worth it. But the best thing of all was watching shooting stars in the garden each night”. The cottage has four bedrooms with three upstairs including a single, double and family room (double and bunk beds) along with a bathroom and shower upstairs. The panoramic views from the front rooms can be seen in the photographs below. Downstairs is a king sized bedroom which has a television and sofa area and is often favoured by older family members when they stay. Beside this room is a shower room with toilet and can either be for the private use of the king bedroom or as the downstairs toilet as access can be gained from the rear of the house.
The open plan living, kitchen and dinning area is a lovely space which again has fantastic views with window seats to the front and the dinning to the rear to view the wildlife in the garden/paddock. One of the key features to the cottage is the wood burning stove which takes pride of place in the seating area and in the kitchen it is the arga style cooker which combines both electric and gas. The kitchen has everything from a slow cooker, mixer, blender, microwave, plates and cutlery for kids of all ages through to salt, pepper, tea, coffee and other dry condiments.
Please note this is a smoke free home and PET FREE due to our family having allergies. It is also worth stating that all bedding is anti allergy too.

About The Owners
Malcolm and Jenny Milne purchased Pilmuir in spring 2007, with the primary aim of having a ‘home away from home’ that has a mountain view. Mountains and the outdoors are a huge part of their lives and Pilmuir has fufilled that dream. After 6 months of rennovation and changes to the layout, Malcolm and Jenny started to create this home. The cottage is rented out to cover costs and to allow the family to enjoy time together whilst also working in the local area. It is therefore not your usual holiday let and so you will find the cottage cosy and welcoming.
The paddock out the back and the further 2 acres of land can be home to horses and shetland ponies when the family stay, whilst the trees and nearly 1 acre garden are ideal for their son Lachlan (born 2010).
