Pilmuir eating out in Speyside

This week we are introducing the theme of food! Where do we like to go and some top tip suggestions that you might not have come across. We start the foodie series with Malcolm’s top five suggestions, all local to the cottage

  1. If you fancy a take-away he recommends the Chip Shop in Grantown. If you fancy something more local, then Carter Chip Van comes to Boat of Garten every Thursday and Carrbridge on a Friday. https://www.facebook.com/Cartersfishandchipvan/
  2. Top of the list used to be Muckrach House Hotel, but this has sadly closed. If you fancy home-cooked meals delivered to your door, then look no further than the Lunchbox Boys https://www.facebook.com/The-Lunchbox-Boys-566738287045187or the Heavy Metal Munchies https://www.facebook.com/Heavy-Metal-Munchies-102996321730202
  3. It goes without saying that Nethy House Café is on our list. A true family favourite.
  4. For somewhere less obvious, try the Boat of Garten Golf Club, View Restaurant https://www.facebook.com/viewrestaurant.jb/Fantastic for a walk down to for a cup of tea or something stronger or indeed a meal.Stunning views
