Local Activities

In the house there is a large A4 lever Arch file full of activities, restaurants, distilleries, shops etc to visit.  Each section in the file has an area for people to put their comments so please use this as an aid to enjoying your stay.  However, in the short term below are some helpful websites on the area.

This site details the Strathspey steam railway which is located a short distance from Pilmuir and heads either towards Broomhill (the location for the TV programme Monarch of the Glen) or Aviemore.  During the winter there is a Santa train and through out the year dinner can be booked on the train.
