Directions

Pilmuir is a 10-15minute walk to Boat of Garten or a 5minute cycle on a track behind the sawmill, past the loch and ducks into the village.

The house is easily accessible by car, rail or air with Inverness only a thirty minute drive, Edinburgh or Glasgow two and half hours away or Aberdeen a two hour drive, making Pilmuir the ideal weekend or holiday stay.

From the South

To get to Pilmuir from the South of Scotland head north up the A9 towards Inverness and turn off at Aviemore.  Follow signs through Aviemore towards Grantown on Spey / Boat of Garten which is about 7miles from Aviemore.  After passing Boat of Garten remain on the A95 and you enter the village of Drumuillie.  Continue through the village and after the row of houses on your right a row of houses, one of which includes a Tourist Scotland sign hanging outside, appears on the left.  Pilmuir is the fourth on the left and the second last house before leaving the Village.

From the East

Form the east coast of Scotland head towards Grantown on Spey - 35miles from Elgin and Inverness.  Once near Grantown follow signs on the A95 for Aviemore.  The village of Drumuillie will appear in about 7miles, after passing the Heather centre.  On entering the village, Pilmuir is the second cottage on the right hand side

The nearest train station is Aviemore and airport is Inverness
